A pedestrian has been flown to hospital after being struck by a car in Carlisle.
A land ambulance and five police vehicles are at the scene of the crash, which occurred place on Ullswater Road.
The Great North Air Ambulance has also been called, and has landed on a grass section beside Borrowdale Road.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said officers were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service at about 2.45pm.
He warned that motorists may experience delays, as emergency services deal with the incident.
An air ambulance spokesman said: "We can confirm we have attended an incident in the south west of the city.
"We were mobile at 2.55pm after being alerted to reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
"After treatment on the scene the pedestrian was airlifted to hospital.
"Two doctors and a paramedic were on board."
Ullswater Road has since reopened to motorists.
