A flood warning is in place for Keswick campsite, though the Environment Agency is predicting the water levels at Derwent will fall throughout the day.
The weather monitoring agency is warning that Derwent Water's levels are high after the heavy rainfall this weekend.
The low-lying areas surrounding Derwent Water are at risk of flooding, including the front area of Keswick campsite and the caravan site.
However, the Environment Agency says it expects the water levels to continue to fall throughout the day.
A flood alert - one level less severe than a flood warning - is also in place for the upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water areas.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses."
