HOW THEY MET: The couple met nine years ago through mutual friends.

PROPOSAL: Ashley proposed at their home and had covered the house in candles and flowers and when Cassandra arrived home he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

STAG & HEN CELEBRATIONS: The hen party was spent at Rickerby Retreat Spa followed by dinner and drinks in Carlisle while the stag party went go karting in York followed by dinner and drinks.

VENUE: North Lakes Hotel and Spa, Penrith.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: Wedding dress and veil from the Wedding Warehouse, Carlisle.

HAIR & BEAUTY: Hair by Esther Smith, Enlighten and make-up by Charlotte from Chazmakeup, Carlisle.

GROOMSMEN: John Edgar, best friend of the groom, was best man and Michael Hetherington, bride’s friend, was usher.

BRIDESMAIDS: Sarah Percival, Rachel Tweddle and Ana Monteiro, all friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. Their dresses were from wed2b and altered by Ailsa from The Wedding Warehouse.

FLOWERS: Bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids were supplied by Margaret at Herd of Love, Aspatria.

TRANSPORT: The bride’s grandad drove the bride and her father in a red Jaguar F-Pace and the bridesmaids were driven in a family friend’s matching red Jaguar XF. The usher drove the groom’s party in a Ferrari California.

RECEPTION: 50 guests attended the wedding ceremony at the North Lakes Hotel and Spa followed by a wedding breakfast and toasts at the Auctioneer, Carlisle. An evening reception was also held at the Auctioneer.

TABLE SETTINGS: Table décor and chair decorations were by Jen from Herd of Love.

CAKE: A three-tier wedding cake from Claire’s Bakery.

FIRST DANCE: What Wouldn’t You Do For Love, Bobby Caldwell, sung by the wedding band The Many Tones.

ENTERTAINMENT: The Many Tones; DJ Amp & Dex and magician Scott Barrie.

HONEYMOON: Mexico.

OTHER DETAILS: The bride’s party got ready at her grandparents’ house where music, Champagne and breakfast buffet were supplied.

FAMILY DETAILS: The bride is the daughter of Sharon and Derek Cartwright, Carlisle and the groom is the son of Ann and Roderick Ferguson, Leeds, formerly of Carlisle.
