Workington manager Danny Grainger will be looking for a reaction from his side when they return to action on Saturday.
Reds lost 2-1 in their crunch NPL North West clash with main rivals Pontefract Collieries after conceding two first-half goals.
He said: “They got what they wanted with an early goal and then knocked us out of our stride for which you have to give them credit.
“I thought we dominated the game for long periods in the second half when their keeper made a couple of great saves to be their Man of the Match. We went close on several occasions but it just wasn’t to be.
“Im not going to ask the players to change the way they have been playing even though it cost us a goal. It has got us to the top of the league and that’s how we intend to stay.
“Everyone is disappointed to lose and I am expecting a positive reaction on Saturday.”
