A 27-year-old man who behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in Annan and stole drink both there and in Dumfries, has been made the subject of a community payback order with conditions he be under supervision for 18 months and carry out 100 hours unpaid work.
Glen Mackie, of Kimmeter Square, Annan, admitted attending at a house at nearby Springbells Road uninvited, shouting and swearing and refusing to leave.
He also admitted charges of stealing a quantity of drink at the R S McColl shop in High Street, Annan in May and June as well as breaching bail conditions not to enter the shop, and also stealing a quantity of drink at the Spar shop on Whitesands, Dumfries, in November and struggling with police officers at the shop.
