A team from wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s Penrith office recently volunteered at a local food bank to help highlight the issues of food waste and hunger.
Melanie Westgarth, John Divers, Samantha Balmer, Tom Melling and head of office Andrew Eze volunteered at the North Lakes Foodbank in Cockermouth, Cumbria, where they spent the day learning about the work the organisation does as well as helping to pack food parcels to be distributed.
The Penrith office also donated £200 to the foodbank to help it with its work.
Melanie said: “We all came away realising how lucky we are.
"The day was very thought provoking and very enjoyable and other colleagues are now looking to do their volunteer day at a local foodbank near their home.”
