Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff will soon be waltzing into town, bringing an unforgettable show to West Cumbria.

The Dance to the Music UK Tour 2020 will be on in Workington’s Carnegie Theatre on January 24 – and Kristina will be joined by another familiar face.

Former Dancing on Ice winner, X Factor star and Hollyoaks newcomer Jake Quickenden will be the singing host for the tour, which is choreographed and performed by Kristina.

The show will also include performances from South African National Champions and Dancing with the Stars pros Marcella Solimeo and Dylan Daniels and other world-renowned professional dancers.

The cast are also hugely proud to be working closely with Stagecoach Performing Arts Schools across the country, enabling local talent aged four to 18 to take part in most of the shows.

Kristina said: “We are extremely proud to be supporting young local dancers and offering them the chance to perform on stage in front of a live audience. Nurturing fresh talent is extremely important to us as a team, and this show could offer life-changing opportunities to many youngsters.”

Dance to the Music is the UK’s first show to portray the evolution of dance through musical eras and genres. Starting with the roaring ’20s and the arrival of Charleston and tap, the tour will showcase 15 dance styles through every decade.

Kristina added: “This show will have something for everyone. Whether you’re a lifelong ballroom-dancer, a total novice or you love watching TV shows like Strictly as a family, this is going to bring dance to life in a totally unique way.”
