Super cyclists have raised a staggering amount for Cumbrian charities.
The Solway Spinner involves almost 200 cyclists riding 100km along the Solway coast to Mawbray before heading back to Carlisle via Wigton.
After raising more than £1,500 to help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, there is already plans to do it again next year.
Mathew Ireland, Solway Spinner organiser, said: “It was great to see such a good turn out for the event.
“We’ve had nothing but good feedback so will be looking to run it again in 2020.”
Sam Johnston, Community and Events Fundraiser at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw said: “The hospice has always had a strong affiliation with the cycling community in the local area and are proud to continue that. We look forward to seeing this event grow in the future.”
