Police have issued a warning to motorists after a crash on Kirkstone Pass.
Just before 11 am emergency services were called to action after a report of a crash.
Police, fire, ambulance and the GNAAS were called to assist.
Two cars have crashed and police believe there are no serious injuries at this time.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "Some roads in Cumbria are unsafe at the moment after the snowfall.
"There has been a weather warning for ice issued, please, be aware of the dangers.
" Driving: Conditions could be hazardous, black ice cannot always be seen.
"Fell walking: This is not advised unless you are experienced and have the correct adverse weather equipment."
