Police are appealing for help after a teenager has been reported missing.

Officers are concerned for the welfare of Lauren Cheney, 16, who was last seen on Warwick Road at 1pm on Friday.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "Lauren who lives in the Dumfries and Galloway area, is described as white, 5ft 1, of slim build, with very long light brown hair.

"She is believed to be wearing a black puffer jacket with fur trim, a navy blue hoody, black leggings and white trainers."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101. Police would also like to urge Lauren to contact us if she sees this appeal.
