Road closed
The A66 will be closed in both directions overnight after a lorry crashed.
The main route connecting the northeast and the north-west will be closed between 10pm and 6am.
The team from Highways England will be recovering a lorry that had overturned between Scotch Corner to Smallways, just before Bowes.
A spokesman from Highways England said: "There will be a full closure of the A66 in both directions tonight between Scotch Corner at junction 53 A1(M) to Smallways, just before Bowes, for the recovery of an LGV. The closure runs until 6am."
