A SLIMMER who has lost a staggering seven stone feels like a different man.

Daniel Edgar who has learning difficulties joined Slimming World in August last year.

When he first joined he was always hungry and wouldn’t walk anywhere.

Fourteen months later Daniel attends Carlisle Youth Zone gym, does Cross Fit training and goes horse riding regularly - something he could never do before.

Each week the slimmer attends Emma Davies group in Carlisle where he loves to share with other members how many steps he has achieved and what’s on the menu.

He attends with his support worker.

When asked about his Slimming World experience, Daniel said: “People kept looking at me and not saying nice things to me.

“I wanted to be like the other boys and be able to go horse riding and wear nice clothes.

“My foster mum and all of the family support me to go to Slimming World and it has changed my world. I would encourage anyone to go; we are just like one big happy family.”

Emma has been a member of Slimming World for a number of years, after celebrating two years of being a consultant, she is delighted to announce that from today she will relocate one of her groups to Brunton Park.

The group was held every Thursday at New Waterton Hall, Warwick Square at 5.30pm and 7.30pm will not take place at Carlisle United FC, Sunset Suite.

Emma is also launching a 9.30am group today at Brunton Park.

She explained: “Finding Slimming World totally changed my life for the better, I previously existed and I am now living life to the full.

“I love that every week I help others achieve their own goals and feel fabulous about themselves. It’s the most fantastic feeling.”
