Equipment to measure levels of radiation has appeared on a playing field in Workington.
The devices have been strapped to rugby posts on a field off Moorclose Road, near the fire station.
Public Health England, which installed the equipment, said: "We placed these devices so we can measure levels of natural background radiation as part our routine monitoring work.
"We do this as part of routine monitoring across the country (there are low levels of background radiation that occurs naturally) and sites such as this in Workington provides a control reading to compare other results against."
