DETECTIVES are searching for a man after a woman was sexually assaulted.
The woman, who police say is in her fifties, said the incident took place in the area of High Street and Croft Court in Wigton.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police said officers were called to the town just before 8.45pm on Monday.
Police also confirmed that an investigation to establish exactly what happened is underway.
Cumbria Police said: "Detectives are trying to trace a white man, described as being of average height, medium build and aged between 25 and 30.
"We are urging anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed anything that might be relevant or who has any information, to phone 101."
