Three schools are closed to all staff and pupils due to sickness.
A warning was first put out to parents on December 4, asking them to keep their child away from school for 48 hours if they experience flu or sickness symptoms.
Following a deep clean of the Alston Moor Federation schools - Alston Primary School, Alston Pre-School and Samuel King's School - they were all open as normal the following day.
However, all three schools have been closed today due to the same problem.
The federation confirmed that Nenthead Primary School will be open as normal.
