Hammer chase scare in Wigton
Police are looking for anyone in Wigton who witnessed a man being chased by another man with a hammer.
The incident, which took place at the entrance to the Water Street car park, near King Street, happened at about 4pm on Wednesday.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “There were no injuries caused. One suspect has been arrested and released under investigation.
“Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information should contact 101.”
