The assault of a woman in broad daylight on a Carlisle street has sparked a police investigation.
Police have released details of an assault which took place on Petteril Street last Monday, at some point between 9am and 11am.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police explained that the woman who was assaulted was first approached by a man, who asked for a lighter.
"The male has been described as a white man in his late 20s, wearing black joggers and a grey tracksuit top, neither of which had any brands on," the police spokesman said.
Anyone with any information that may help police track down the suspect should contact 101.
