A TATTOO studio is hosting an event to raise vital funds for Carlisle Foodbank.

Studio 58, on Fisher Street in the city, has organised a charity fundraiser which will see tattoo artists donate the profit made on the day to the foodbank.

Dika O’Real, Abbie Johnston and Megan Rae have all compiled individual flash sheets of tattoo designs based around food. Designs are priced between £40 and £60.

The studio is also serving as a drop in centre for donations.

Alex Adamson, studio manager, said: “Every year we try to contribute something towards a local charity.

“Given the rising usage of foodbanks within the UK and Christmas approaching, it seemed fitting to raise money for such a vital resource in Carlisle.

“I’m feeling positive about it.

“Reception and bookings have been great with limited availability left. But we’re hoping to maximize the amount and get the last few slots fully booked.

“We’re all very much appreciative of the service Carlisle Foodbank provides and the people involved with it who work tirelessly to help people with such a vital commodity.”

The event, which takes place on Sunday, will start at 10am and run until 5pm.
