A THREE year driving ban has been imposed on a Carlisle woman caught at the wheel of a car while she was almost five times the drink drive limit.
Lisa Michelle Hayhow, 35, committed the offence in the car park of the city's Turf Tavern pub car park on July 25, magistrates heard.
She does not hold a driving licence.
The defendant, of Hillary Grove, Harraby, was at the wheel of a Renault Clio.
The vehicle was damaged as a result of her driving it.
At the city's Rickergate Magistrates' Court, she also admitted three related offences: driving in a way not permitted by any licence, uninsured driving, and taking the car involved without the owner's consent.
After hearing the details, magistrates imposed both the ban and a community order.
She must have treatment for alcohol dependency for the next six months and observe a five month 7pm to midnight curfew, which will be electronically tagged.
Hayhow must participate in up to 10 days of rehabilitation.
She was told she must also pay a £90 victim surcharge and £300 compensation to the car's owner.
