A INSURANCE advisory firm specialising in risk management, and employee benefits for businesses has welcomed a new addition to its commercial team in Carlisle.

Jelf – which also provides services for individuals – has appointed Rob Davidson as a new commercial account executive based at its offices at Parkhouse Business Park in Cooper Way.

He will be responsible for providing tailored and professional advice to help clients across thw whole of Cumbria to manage their risk exposures as well as support the development of the Jelf brand as the firm evolves to Marsh Commercial early January 2020.

Mr Davidson has worked in the insurance industry for five years in roles in the UK and overseas.

In his last role he was client manager at Aon in Leeds, where he advised corporate and commercial businesses across the country, and also had a short stint on secondment in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He said: “I have been made to feel really welcome at Jelf in Carlisle.

“I’ve joined at such an exciting time for the company and I’m looking forward to helping more businesses in Cumbria with their risks.”

On the appointment, Mark Daley, divisional director at Jelf said: “Rob will be responsible for providing advice and solutions to meet the needs of our commercial clients.

“We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Jelf also has offices in Penrith, Ulverston, Cockermouth and Crooklands, near Kendal.
