Carlisle foodbank is asking for the public's help in sourcing more bags for life to help their ongoing mission.
The city foodbank, which provides vital assistance to Carlisle families struggling to make ends meet, relies on donations to keep going.
Always in need of food donations, at present Carlisle foodbank is also asking the public to donate bags for life, to help them dispense their food packages.
A Carlisle foodbank spokesperson said: "We are currently giving out over 40 bags at each session ,plus children's bags, bread bags and pet bags.
"We do ask for them to be returned but this is not always possible. So your help is essential."
Carlisle foodbank can be found at 93 English Street in the city centre.
For more information on donating to or using the foodbank, email hello@carlislefoodbank.org.uk or visit in person during their opening hours: 1pm to 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
