A 79-YEAR-OLD Penrith man has appeared in court accused of failing to comply with the conditions of several firearms certificates.
George Farish, of Snowdrop, Kirkoswald, Penrith, pleaded guilty to all four offences relating to not complying with firearms and a shotgun documents being stored securely and ‘access to firearms or ammunition by an authorised person’ on July 25 and August 8. The terms breached were ‘being stored securely and access to firearms or ammunition by an authorised person’.
Farish, who appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 12, had all his firearms and shotgun certificates cancelled, and was ordered to pay £197 to the court - £80 in fines, a £32 surcharge to fund victim services, and £85 to the CPS.
