A CARLISLE man has been given a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of two counts of harassment.
Daniel Shannon Christie, 34, of Langdale Avenue, off Dalston Road, pleaded not guilty to the harassment of two different people when he appeared at the city magistrates’ court in July.
However, he was found guilty at the court on Thursday.
Christie was handed a 110 day prison sentence suspended for 12 months, requirements of this suspended sentence are that he must carry out 70 hours’ unpaid work.
He was also served with a restraining order for the first charge of harassment.
Christie was given a further community order to carry out 40 hours’ of unpaid work for the second charge.
He was ordered to pay £155 to fund victim services and £625 costs.
