A CARLISLE woman has been handed a suspended sentence and curfew after pleading guilty to making nuisance calls or sending nuisance messages.
Jennifer Elizabeth Ramsay, 41, of Durranhill Road, Carlisle appeared before the magistrates’ court in Carlisle on Friday.
She was charged with persistently making use of public electronic communications network for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to others.
She was given a curfew which will last from Friday until February 2, 2020.
Magistrates also gave her a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 15 months.
The requirements of the curfew are, Ramsay will have a daily curfew with electronic monitoring.
It will last from 11pm to 8am every day, the court ruling stated.
Ramsay also has to undergo mental health treatment.
Her guilty plea in the case was taken into consideration.
