Police seize £80,000 of drugs
POLICE have seized an estimated £80,000 of drugs after a car was stopped and searched on the A74(M).
Officers stopped a vehicle on the Glasgow to Carlisle Road, near to Junction 16, Johnstonebridge at 8.10pm.
A search of a black BMW found drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the find and is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court later today.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
