WHITEHAVEN sisters Louise Heckles and Sue Thompson have raised funds for the West
Cumbria MS society.
Louise’s husband, Brian, died 30 years ago aged 42 having suffered MS for 13 years.
The sisters decided to knit easter chicks to sell, and made a total of £1,500.
Staff at Santander supported the fundraising effort, and the bank matched the amount raised, bringing the total to £3,000.
The money has now been presented to the West Cumbria MS Society by Louise, of Queens Close, and Sue, of Hillcrest, and staff at Santander.
