PLANS for 18 new homes in the village of Armathwaite near Carlisle have been tabled.
Cumbria homebuilder Genesis Homes has announced its detailed proposals for a site on Station Road have been submitted to Eden Council.
The properties drawn up include a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroomed houses and bungalows.
The Armathwaite site is allocated as part of the Eden District Local Plan for housing. Genesis Homes says its plans will help in the provision of affordable homes for local people.
Genesis Homes has already contributed to the creation of over 50 jobs locally, including 16 jobs at its headquarters in Penrith.
Managing director Nicky Gordon said: "There's a great need for new high-quality homes across Cumbria, so we're delighted to announce the submission of detailed proposals for new residential dwellings in beautiful Armathwaite."
Genesis Homes started construction on its first site in 2017.
It recently celebrated the first anniversary of its move to Genesis House in Penrith.
