Cumbria County Council are making a final push to encourage county residents to commit to 'Stoptober'.
Every October, the 'Stoptober' campaign urges smokers to quit the dangerous habit.
The campaign, run by Public Health England, reminds smokers that the addiction is costly financially as well as being likely to damage health.
The county council is also spreading the 'Stoptober' message to Cumbria.
A spokesman for Cumbria County Council stressed the financial benefits of quitting smoking: "A 20-a-day smoker can save up to £75.39 a week, £323.10 a month and £3,931 a year by stopping smoking."
