Cockermouth Mountain Rescue team were tasked with three callouts in a 24 hour period.
Between Sunday and Monday evening, 26 of the mountain rescuers were involved, beginning with a callout to help an exhausted walker suffering mild hypothermia while on a Duke of Edinburgh award expedition.
A spokesman for the team said: “After warming him up and getting some much needed calories on board he improved significantly.
“He and his companions were able to make their way to Honister under their own steam on Monday morning.
“On Monday afternoon we received a call regarding a lost child who suddenly ran off on Sale Fell.
“Thankfully they turned up without the need for a full team deployment.”
The team was also called out on Monday night to stretcher a woman down Low Fell after falling and injuring her thigh and could no longer make her way down the fell unaided.
