A NEW partnership between Oak Tree and PFK means it’s easier to find a rental house for pet owners in Carlisle.
Oak Tree Animals’ Charity will be able to provide advice to landlords on how to make their properties pet-friendly.
Nicky Williams, Oak Tree’s community education officer, said: “We are thrilled that PFK have signed up to the Pets in Rentals programme.
“It is through this programme that we can offer practical support to letting agents and landlords to overcome barriers to pet friendly rental properties.”
Animals are often given to rescue centres such as Oak Tree, near Wetheral, because their owners are moving into a property that doesn’t allow them to keep their pets.
Nicola Hadfield, property manager at PFK, added: “PFK are proud to be a pet friendly estate and letting agent, and we are always on the case trying to find suitable properties for animals (and their humans as well!).”
