A stretch of the A596 in Flimby is closed yesterday evening after a crash between a car and a motorbike.
Station Road was briefly blocked in both directions, from Ryehill Road to Lowther Street.
A police spokesman said: "The rider of the motorcycle was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with shoulder injuries.
"The road was reopened at approximately 20.47."
