The long-established, family-owned company is looking for dedicated and experienced bakers and senior bakers to join the friendly team at their bakery in the Lake District.
Bryson’s has a long tradition in craft bakery, and is still baking to the highest standards today. They started hand-baking bread more than 70 years ago, on the same site as the Keswick bakery and shop now stand.
Over the years, Bryson’s has grown from its modest beginnings, and now enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the finest small bakeries in the country, without losing any of its cherished values.
Bryson’s still believes that fresh, hand-made products, baked with care and skill from the finest ingredients, is the only way to achieve real quality and taste for the discerning customer.
Starting from scratch every day, the skilled bakery, confectionery and pastry chef teams produce morning goods, pastries, cakes, bread, cream cakes, fancies and savouries, as well as exclusive bespoke celebration cakes, daily.
Bread, rolls and cakes are moulded by hand - with ingredients locally sourced wherever possible - to ensure every loaf and cake gets the care and attention it deserves – baking through the night to be fresh in store each morning.
The business now employs 75 people, and comprises five retail shops and tea rooms across the Lakes, with a substantial wholesale business to some of the leading food retailers across the region.
This is a unique opportunity for the right person to forge a fulfilling career with a highly-respected, successful company, in a part of the country that is hard to equal.
Preferably with some traditional scratch bakery experience, and a background in cake, or artisan bread, the successful candidate will be working 43 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 5am, with occasional split shifts on a Friday.
As part of the package, applicants can expect a competitive salary, and enrolment in the company pension scheme. Relocation assistance is available, depending on circumstances, as is help in finding accommodation.
