Two men and two women from Carlisle have been arrested on suspicion of various robbery and assault charges.

Police were called to Charlotte Street at about 8.30pm on October 9.

A 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, also both from Carlisle, suffered injuries including deep cut wounds. They have since been released from Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything in the areas of the Lidl and Dunelm car parks between 8pm and 9pm.

They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

The following people were arrested:

  • A 17-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempt GBH and robbery;
  • A 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery, police assault and possession of a controlled substance;
  • A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempt GBH and robbery;
  • A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempt GBH and robbery.

All those arrested have been released under investigation.
