A CHEF called Odin Viking has appeared before magistrates in Carlisle accused of exposing himself three times.

Viking, 41, who during his appearance at the city's Rickergate Magistrates' Court gave his current address as Carleton Place, Penrith, faces three allegations of exposing himself to a woman in order to cause her distress.

He also faces a charge of sending an offensive email to a woman on July 16.

Prosecutors say the exposure offences happened on various dates in June.

He was represented by defence solicitor Lauren Heasley, said he did not at this stage wish to enter any pleas to any of the allegations.

He elected to have his case dealt with by Carlisle Crown Court.

Magistrates sent the case there for a first hearing on November 11.

The defendant, whose previous address was given in court papers as being Lazonby, in the Eden Valley, was granted unconditional bail.
