A CARLISLE man has been jailed for 10 weeks after he breached his criminal behaviour order for the fourth time in a year.
Davy Gilchrist, 37, was also subject to post sentence supervision and a community order at the time of the offences, which saw him enter the Sainsbury’s store in Church Street in Carlisle on two occasions.
On the first visit to the store - on September 10 - he stole a sound bar valued at £25. The second charge related to entering the store on October 2.
Gilchrist admitted all three charges when he appeared before Carlisle’s magistrates’ court.
A criminal behaviour order issued on September 4 prohibited him from being in the supermarket at any time.
Gilchrist - of Oakleigh Way, Botcherby - was jailed for a total of 10 weeks.
He was also ordered to pay £25 in compensation to Sainsbury’s and to pay a £122 surcharge to fund victim services.
