Emergency services were called to rescue sheep in Brampton after a crash involving a tractor.
Crews were called to the crash at Elmfield, close to the junction with Carlisle road just after 5pm.
The tractor was pulling a livestock trailer, which overturned, and left the vehicle with its rear wheel off the ground.
The old A69 was partially blocked afternoon but has since reopened.
