Three men are believed to have been racially abused and had beer thrown on them in the early hours of the morning in Carlisle city centre.

The attack is said to have happened on English Street shortly after 4.30am on September 21.

No one was injured, according to the force.

Police are investigating the report and believe two men were responsible.

One is described as white, about 6ft tall, wearing pink/blue shorts, a blue polo shirt and white shoes.

The other man is described as 5ft 6ins, skinny and was wearing dark blue jeans and a blue polo shirt.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with any information, to come forward.
