A PENRITH organisation has made a renewed call for help to fund replacing the town’s Christmas lights.
Discover Penrith is urging more residents to help replace the festive decorations for the town.
The current stock of Christmas lights is said to be “failing”, and according to fundraisers are “either now unrepairable or soon will be”.
However, Discover Penrith reports that progress is being made on rejuvenating the Christmas decorations, writing on social media that “the plans for Christmas lights in Penrith are looking great”.
A total of £60,000 is needed to fully replace the current Christmas lights stock, claims the organisation Penrith Business Improvement, which is managing the fundraising efforts.
Anyone wanting to donate to the fundraising effort is invited to visit the GoFundMe webpage entitled Bring a Festive Sparkle to Penrith.
