Man assaulted in Whitehaven
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a male was assaulted in Whitehaven.
Officers came across a man who was unconscious on Lowther Street, Whitehaven in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 21-year-old male from Whitehaven suffered serious injuries and is said to be in a critical condition.
A spokeswoman from Cumbria police said: "It is believed he has been assaulted and a 19-year-old man has been arrested as a result of it."
