An award-winning self-catering complex near Caldbeck is on the market for £2.195 million.
Monkhouse Hill Lake District Cottages, at Sebergham, is set around a landscaped courtyard.
It includes nine gold award cottages and four-bed owners’ accommodation in a 17th century former farmhouse on a five-acre site including paddock, lakes and woodland.
Cottages including conversions of traditional barns and a farm building, the ground floor of the original 17th century farmworkers’ cottage and two recently built properties.
Owners Andrew and Jennifer Collard have instructed Colliers and Hayward Tod to sell the complex – twice winner of the Cumbria Tourism Self-Catering Holiday of the Year and National Visit England winner - having owned and operated it for 25 years and deciding to focus on other business interests.
Colliers International said: "With 60 per cent to 65 per cent occupancy and a consistent gross annual turnover of over £300,000, there is scope to increase occupancy, as well as opportunities to increase capacity by creating additional units in the grounds or by converting the owners’ accommodation to an additional holiday letting unit."
