THE new base of a healthy eatery will officially open its doors to customers in Workington next week.

Paul McGee and his wife Ashleigh are moving The Hungry Caterpillar from its Finkle Street base to the former Bounty pub nearby.

The opening event will be held on Friday, September 20, at 7pm.

The new place will be called Eden and will offer a cafe service Monday to Saturday through the day, evening meals on Thursdays and Fridays and would be hired out for private functions on Saturdays and Sundays.

Paul said: “We’d like to welcome everyone to come and see what we’ve done with the place.”

Refurbishment of the premises included the installation of a play area and a dance floor.

Plans include leasing out the upper floors of the building to other businesses.

At the opening night, entertainment will be provided by Logan Murphy and Syndicate.

The couple also run other The Hungry Caterpillar branches in Whitehaven and Cockermouth.
