SEVERAL lanes on the M6 near Carlisle have closed after a lorry shed its load.
Lanes one and two on the northbound motorway between junctions 43 and 44 are closed due to bales of hay on the road.
A clean-up operation is underway while the third lane remains open to traffic.
Police and traffic officers from Highways England are on the scene.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: "At about 1.45pm we were called to a report of a HGV that had lost its load of hay, between junctions 43 and 44 on the M6, Northbound."
