POLICE have renewed their appeal for information after a man was attacked by a sharp weapon near Talkin Tarn.
At the end of last month officers were called to reports of a man suffering stomach wounds after being attacked by the road near to the railway line in Brampton.
Police say the victim - a local man in his thirties - was taken by ambulance to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary as a precaution, but was released the same day.
The force says the attacker left the scene in a dark coloured pick-up vehicle with a silver, double wheel based farm trailer on the back, similar to a cattle transporter.
It is believed a second person was in the vehicle.
The attacker was described as being about 25 and about 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a grey hoody, blue jeans and white trainers and wore a baseball cap.
He spoke with an eastern European accent.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and the weapon involved is still unidentified.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack.
