A man was left with a bloodied face after an assault outside a working men's club.
The attack happened on Nelson Street, in Denton Holme, Carlisle, at about 7.40pm yesterday.
Police say the victim - a man in his thirties, who is from the Carlisle area - sustained bleeding to the nose.
An ambulance attended, but the man declined hospital treatment.
A 33-year-old woman from the city was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released under investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call 101 and ask to speak to PC2750 Davis.
