A DOG show at Seaton village hall on Saturday raised an amazing £1,848.07 for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Seventy-five dogs turned up and plenty of humans came too to enjoy the day, which also saw excellent obedience and flyball displays and gift stalls in the hall. Judges Louise Forster and Kayleigh Ferguson presided.
Best in show went to Lola, owned by Karen Williams with second Sarah Westgarth with Copper. Best veteran was Abbie with Angela Bragg, puppy 6-9 months was Lyla owned by Nikki Wainwright. Show novelty was won by Bella with owner Jenny Scholey. Best junior handler was Wendy Hanley with Rosie.
Fastest flyball recall was Cocker Spaniel Merlin, owned by Lorraine Dickson, who ran the 45ft course in 1.7 seconds. Lorraine said: “I was over the moon with my little pocket rocket.”
Merlin also claimed third place in the puppy class.
Organisers would like to thank all the many sponsors and supporters of the event.
