A Cumbrian health and safety consultancy is the only training firm in the county to be awarded a prestigious status.

Woodward SHE Ltd, based at Energus, Lillyhall, has been named a NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner.

The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health is a UK-based independent examination board.

Gold status recognises that Woodward SHE provides the best experience for its learners, after it was assessed by NEBOSH.

Woodward SHE was established by Tom and Christine Duggan in 1993 and their sons Tom and James also work for the firm.

It offers courses to personnel coming out of the armed forces and also works with Sellafield. It has also just opened a new training suite in Southern Scotland.

Tom junior said: "We are delighted. Congratulations to the whole team for all their hard work and dedication in achieving gold status."
