Two men facing charges which allege they committed modern day sexual offences against children are due to stand trial early next year.
Mohammed Alamgir Alam, 44, and 40-year-old Mohammed Foyzul Amin appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today.
Alam faces six charges. Five of these allege sexual activity with four different girls aged under 16, while a sixth charge alleges the sexual assault of a female.
Amin faces four charges - two alleging sexual activity with one girl aged under 16 and two alleging the sexual assault of a female.
During this morning's hearing, barristers representing Alam and Amin indicated that both men deny all the allegations they face.
A timetable for the progression of the case was outlined by the prosecution.
Alam, of Main Street, Ellenborough, and Amin, of St John Street, Netherton, Dudley, were told that a trial is set to start at the crown court on February 24, 2020. It is estimated this will last around seven days.
In the meantime, both men were granted bail by Judge James Adkin.
