FIREFIGHTERS from five different stations were called to tackle a house on fire in Caldbeck.
Crews from Wigton, Penrith, Carlisle West, Keswick and an aerial ladder platform from Carlisle East Fire Station attended the fire shortly before 3pm today.
The fast actions of firefighters who were first on site prevented more serious damage to the building and managed to confine the fire to the one room.
The teams were battling the blaze for several hours.
