A THIEF stole a saw worth more than £300 before then fleeing the scene.
Police say a man took a Makita plunge saw and two batteries valued at £350 outside a property on Fairfield Gardens, which is just off Wigton Road in Carlisle.
Officers are investigating the theft which they believe happened at about 7pm on August 20.
The thief - which police say was wearing a black jacket, grey trousers and dark shoes - fled the scene towards Ullswater Road onto Borrowdale Gardens.
