A6 Closed after crash
A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a tractor.
The police were called at 10.40am to reports of a crash on the A6 at Plumpton.
The busy road was closed while the area was made safe.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "The incident involved a tractor and a Peugeot 2008.
"The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
"The driver of the Peugeot was uninjured.
"The passenger in the Peugeot was taken to Cumberland Infirmary as a precaution."
The road has since re-opened.
